You are managing for impact and results, constantly working to recruit volunteers and train staff, overseeing a vision tied to a greater cause, for which you feel true ownership and responsibility.

You know that everyone should be at the table, from the staff member that has worked in your organization for 10 years to the volunteer who comes in for a short-term project.

Your job as a leader is to build community within your organization, ensure everyone is working toward the desired vision and feels heard and appreciated. At the same time, you are developing as a leader, determined to hit targets and meet deadlines, while striving to remember why you do the work you do and how very important it is.

 
 

My name is Ed and with 20 years of international senior leadership experience working with non-governmental organizations and multilateral organizations to advance human rights and inclusion in over 30 countries, my focus has shifted to coaching current nonprofit leaders to advance and hone their leadership abilities.
